Radium Engineering AOS-R VTA Universal Air-Oil Separator with Return

A modified high-power engine tends to generate excess oil and exhaust gases. In these cases, a common oil catch can may fill up quickly and prove insufficient. Like Radium Engineering's oil catch cans, the AOS-R (Air-Oil Separator with Return) prevents exhaust oil and other contaminants from entering the air intake, intercooler, intake manifold, etc. The main difference is that the AOS-R system returns oil to the crankcase, allowing for maintenance-free operation. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:

-For the AOS-R to function correctly, there must be a return port on the engine to the oil pan. -The AOS-R must be mounted high enough in the engine bay so that the lower port is above the engine's return port. -To prevent condensation, engine coolant must be routed to the AOS-R. Without a properly designed air-oil separator, water condensation can form and enter the oil pan, contaminating the engine oil. Engine coolant lines are routed through the Radium Engineering AOS-R using the 2 barbed fittings. Coolant enters a specially designed heating chamber.

Ports: Inlet port(s): 7/8"-14 thread for 10AN ORB fittings. Outlet port (VTA only): 7/8"-14 thread for 10AN ORB fittings. Return port: 7/8"-14 thread for 10AN ORB fittings. Coolant ports: 7/16"-20 thread, includes two 7mm (or 5/16") barbed fittings.

20-0819 AOS-R, Universal, VTA. The Vent to Atmosphere (VTA) air-oil separator has 2 side ports (inlet). This is ideal for dual-bank engines with 2 crankcase ventilation ports. NOTE: For engines with a single crankcase vent, simply cap one of the inlet ports with Radium Engineering 14-0351. The VTA AOS-R features a giant non-restrictive outlet that is over 183% larger than the 10AN inlets' inner diameter. This increased volume reduces airflow, allowing contaminants to settle. Additionally, contaminants are trapped by a diffuser, allowing oil sludge to return to the catch can, preventing splashing in the engine bay. It also has a dual-stage design (located at the inlet and outlet). These free-flowing chambers generate no flow restriction.

The included bracket system offers great flexibility and allows for full 360-degree rotation.

In addition, M6x1mm bolts are included for chassis mounting.

NOTE: Due to vented air leakage in the system, the VTA AOS-R is not recommended for engines with a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
