Mitsubishi EVO 8-9 Fluid Lock Radium Engineering Dual Oil Catch Can Kit

OVERVIEW

An oil catch can is essential on a high-performance vehicle to protect the engine from the high levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air recirculating back into the intake can lead to a decrease in performance. Radium Engineering catch cans feature oversized 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, two-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

Radium Engineering offers several complete stand-alone catch can kits for the Evo 8-9, sold individually or as a set via the drop down menu above. All kits are compatible with the OEM strut bar. The first type does NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), so it is emissions compliant and legal for track use. Closed-loop systems recirculate clean, filtered air through the engine for combustion and to promote negative crankcase pressure which optimizes performance. Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin. The VTA crankcase kit does not recirculate crankcase gases through the engine and is designed for racing vehicles that generate large amounts of blow-by.
