OVERVIEW: An oil catch can is essential for protecting the engine from high levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated from aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air recirculating back into the intake can lead to a decrease in performance. Radium Engineering oil catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, two-stage oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

PLATFORM SPECIFICS: The oil catch cans are strategically located for compatibility with both right-hand drive (RHD) and left-hand drive (LHD) variants. A small adjustment to the brake line is required for RHD installations. For mounting, the kits utilize factory brackets and holes in the chassis. No cutting, drilling, or permanent vehicle modification is required.

The two oil catch can kits are completely independent of each other and are sold individually or together. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), making them emissions-compliant and legal for track use. Closed-loop systems recirculate clean, filtered air through the engine for combustion and to promote negative crankcase pressure, optimizing performance. Additionally, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.

This catch can is plumbed in-line with the 5/8" PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. When intake manifold pressure is at or above atmospheric pressure, the PCV check valve closes, and this hose will consequently experience no flow. In contrast, the PCV hose will experience controlled vacuum when the engine is idling, cruising, and decelerating. This would normally pull unwanted crankcase vapors, unburnt fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after high-load operation.
