Mishimoto MMBCC-MIA-16PBE Baffled Oil Catch Can for 16+ Mazda Miata

With the release of the new 2016 Mazda Miata, Mishimoto engineers have been working hard to improve engine efficiency. They created this new oil catch can system for the Miata, designed to protect the heart of the engine from harmful blow-by gases. Direct-injection engines, like the one in the 2016 Miata, suffer from accelerated carbon buildup due to the lack of port injection, which cleans the valves with fuel during engine operation. The engineers observed a significant oil film when examining the intake manifold. The oil was coming from the PCV system, contributing to carbon buildup and a decrease in octane. The new Mishimoto oil catch can system for the Miata prevents these blow-by gases from reaching the intake, resulting in a cleaner engine. Our oil catch cans differ from most air-oil separator (AOS) systems in several ways. First, our cans are not heated.
