The Ecumaster Battery Isolator is a motorsport master relay designed for battery isolation and engine shutdown in accordance with FIA regulations. Engineered for demanding competition environments, it weighs only 83g. Its fully solid-state design, with no mechanical components, ensures a long lifespan and high reliability. It incorporates alternator overvoltage protection without the need for external components. There is no risk of damaging expensive electronic equipment during an emergency shutdown. The isolator is controlled by two external switches and can be turned off via a CAN-bus message. This message can be sent from an Ecumaster PMU16 unit in case of impact or other event. The device is configurable via CAN-bus. It also sends diagnostic information that can be used by other equipment and is valuable during setup and diagnosis. It is fully protected against overheating and overcurrent. The device status is indicated by a multicolor LED.
