DynaPro Lug Mount Brake Caliper
The DynaPro Lug Mount (DP) forged aluminum caliper represents the latest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously using the Dynalite series. DP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood-exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a high-precision machined finish provide the ideal performance and aesthetic for competition or show.
The strength of the DynaPro is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro is forged utilizing the stress-flow process from a premium grade aluminum billet. This process realigns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This produces a piece with superior strength to parts merely machined from straight grain aluminum block.
The body design generated through FEA (Finite Element Analysis) incorporates a highly fortified radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and bridges. Incorporating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing has proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translates into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro incorporates other enhancements for improved performance and application versatility. Calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers supporting a 7812-type brake pad from the top.
