SLC56 Caliper

SLC56 front brake calipers are designed as high-performance replacements for street use and customization on Corvettes and hot rods utilizing Corvette suspension. SLC56 calipers add high-tech style and provide the precise response and balanced pad loading delivered by a fixed mount four-piston caliper.

The SLC56 is a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE calipers on all 1997-2004 C5 and 2005-2013 C6 base model Corvettes that utilize the 12.8-inch diameter front rotors. The calipers attach directly to the Corvette spindle without brackets or adaptors and are compatible with all OE-type banjo bolt brake hoses. Utilizing modern computer-aided design and modeling technology, the SLC56 is built around Wilwood’s high-performance Superlite series calipers. These calipers feature an ultra-high strength forged aluminum body, stainless steel pistons, internal piston dampening springs, internal bore seals, stainless steel bridge wear plates, and a single bleed screw system. All SLC56 calipers are compatible with the same 7416-type 16mm thick brake pads used in all Superlite series narrow profile calipers. The piston volume of the SLC56 matches the piston volume of the OE calipers. This makes it fully compatible with the OE master cylinder output and ABS system. The brake bias between the front and rear axles, as well as pedal travel, are maintained as stock.
