While Earth Dreams technology may be advanced, it still suffers from one age-old enemy—heat. The stock intercooler utilizes tube-and-fin construction along with plastic end tanks, which creates a perfect breeding ground for high temperatures. Our intercooler is designed with the Honda enthusiast in mind and stomps out the high intake air temperatures that move into the stock intercooler. The all-aluminum, bar-and-plate construction is specifically designed to dissipate the heat generated from compressing air into your intake manifold. Our intercooler also has a 102% increase in volume and a 97% increase in fin surface area, helping reduce outlet air temperatures by 20°F over the stock intercooler, and up to 42°F once a high-performance tune is added. The advantages of our improved design aren't just limited to the intercooler. Our direct-fit intercooler kit also completely overhauls the stock intercooler piping. We did away with the stock plastic and rubber combination and replaced it with mandrel-bent aluminum and 5-layer wire-reinforced silicone couplers. Our piping also bumps the size of both the hot and cold sides of the piping system from 42mm to 55mm, which is a 30% increase in size. In addition, we reduced the bend angles in the piping, providing a more direct flow of compressed air through the intercooler system and improving flow. Our performance intercooler kit adds up to 4 hp and 8 lb-ft of torque with a stock tune, with the potential to increase that power gain to 11 hp and 9 lb-ft of torque with a tune.
