ZRP Heavy Duty I-Beam Connecting Rods for Honda B18C
ZRP Heavy Duty I-Beam Connecting Rods are specifically designed for high-horsepower and supercharged applications in Honda B18C engines, making them the ideal choice for turbocharged engines and high-performance builds.
Crafted from premium 4340 high-tensile steel, these connecting rods feature a specially optimized I-beam profile design that provides exceptional rigidity, strength, and durability under extreme loads. The connecting rods undergo multi-stage heat treatment and shot peening to relieve internal stresses, improve fatigue resistance, and ensure maximum structural integrity.
AMPCO 18 bronze bushings offer excellent wear and fatigue resistance. Each bushing includes a radial oil groove, which acts as an oil reservoir to improve lubrication and reliability at high RPMs. Strict manufacturing tolerances ensure a precise fit, optimal oil clearances, and tight control over flex and twist.
Each set is CNC machined to ultra-precise tolerances (up to 0.0002”) and thoroughly inspected using Magnaflux testing to ensure material consistency and the highest quality standards. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is utilized during design to optimize stress distribution and performance.
Each connecting rod includes 3/8” ARP 2000 hex head bolts with a strength of 220,000 psi, with the option of ARP L19 bolts (260,000 psi). The kit includes ARP moly lubricant and comprehensive installation instructions.
