BMW F8x MMX 380mm Two-Piece Floating Front Rotors

MMX performance rotors are designed to be a direct OEM brake rotor replacement and include two-piece floating left & right-hand rotors. Not only does each rotor weigh less than the factory part, it also features much larger and more efficient directional cooling vanes to ensure consistent braking performance, optimal pad wear, and optimal cooling.

Our 380mm rotors run up to 30% cooler than stock and increase cooling efficiency by up to 30%.

F-series BMW M cars come from the factory equipped with a robust 6-piston front brake system. While the factory brake caliper gets the job done, the same cannot be said for the rotors. The factory 380mm cross-drilled rotors may look great, but they soon show their flaws with spirited street driving or track use.
The 380mm x 30mm two-piece floating design allows the rotor and hat to expand radially and axially when absorbing the heat generated from heavy use, thus preventing the most common cause of warping and cracking found in single-piece rotors. Due to the efficiency of this design, MMX rotors last considerably longer than the factory rotors. The friction surface features our signature slotting which increases bite and sweeps debris from the pad surface, achieving a perfect balance between brake feel and longevity.

The center hat is machined from aircraft specification 6061-T6 aluminum. Our slotted rotors are constructed from proprietary metal alloys that will stand up to extreme braking temperatures while maintaining their shape. Furthermore, they incorporate 72 directional curved vanes to channel cool air through the rotor and dissipate heat.

The internal vanes draw air from the center of the rotor and out, allowing heat transfer to take place as it passes. Rotor and vane rotation play a major role in brake cooling as it acts like a pump to move air. Unlike the factory brake rotors, our rotor upgrade includes a right and a left-hand rotor to optimize cooling and ensure consistent stopping power for your vehicle.

Since MMX rotors dissipate heat much more efficiently, your factory pad compound will perform much better in real-world conditions. Only if you are tracking the car would we recommend considering a completely different pad system. But rest assured, you can run factory or aftermarket performance pads with our rotors.
