VIS Motorsport - EA113 High-Pressure Fuel Pump Upgrade Kit for 2.0 TFSI Engine

Modifying 2.0 TFSI EA113 engines to significantly exceed factory power levels requires a greater volume of high-pressure fuel to avoid supply cuts, especially in the mid-range.

In many cases, the factory fuel pump begins to suffer from pressure losses.

The volume of fuel that the high-pressure pump can deliver depends on the volume displaced by the pressurizing cylinder inside it.

This upgrade replaces the internal parts responsible for the pressure and volume of fuel reaching the injectors to meet the demands of higher power.

The tolerances involved, such as the final surface finish of the piston within the fuel pump, are so critical that it can be damaged by touching it with bare hands.

The clearances between the piston and the new sleeve in which it is housed can only be measured with a machine that uses air volumes to measure part clearances with microscopic accuracy.

A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a device for measuring the physical geometric characteristics of an object and was successfully used in this case.

Maximum circularity deviation: 0.001 mm.

Hardness: 370-450 Hb before grinding.

Nitrided to a depth of 0.15-0.25.

Hardness: Hv10-760 kgf/mm² for the sleeve and Hv 50-56/1200-1400 kgf/mm² for the piston.

Nitrided alloy H13/34Mocr11/Rul 1Vb3 or Rul1Vc2.

Good thermal and shock resistance, or resistance to thermal cracking.
Mechanical properties and hot hardness, constant hardness throughout the production cycle.

High level of micropurity, suitable for polishing.

Tensile strength: 1960 kgf/mm².

Yield strength: 1570 kgf/mm².

Pump housing O-ring: Viton.
