The StraightGate50 Compressed Gas (solenoid) wastegate is the first external wastegate with integrated boost control and powered by CO2. Turbosmart has simplified CO2 boost control by integrating both the fill and dump control solenoids, as well as the dome pressure sensor, directly into the wastegate cap. Turbosmart's StraightGate wastegate design incorporates a zero-offset inline butterfly valve, which allows for enormous flow and near-linear control across the entire operating range. This translates to unprecedented boost control for your high-performance applications. The StraightGate's compressed gas variants are specifically designed for wastegate control strategies that use an external pressure source, such as CO2 or compressed air, to vary the valve's opening position. Durability and performance are ensured by a high-pressure Nomex inverted diaphragm, specifically designed for the high-pressure differentials found in CO2/compressed air boost control strategies.

The integration of the electronic control components into the cap is the icing on the cake, simplifying installation to a single regulated pressure line from the CO2 or compressed air source directly to the wastegate cap. This eliminates up to 8 pressure connections and potential failure points in the critical boost control system.
