The StraightGate40 Compressed Gas (Solenoid) wastegate is the world's first external wastegate with integrated boost control, actuated by CO2. Turbosmart has simplified CO2 boost control by integrating the fill and exhaust control solenoids, as well as the dome pressure sensor, directly into the wastegate cap.

Turbosmart's StraightGate wastegate design incorporates a zero-offset, inline butterfly valve that allows for enormous flow and virtually linear control throughout the operating range. This translates into unprecedented boost control for your high-performance applications. The StraightGate compressed gas variants are specifically designed for wastegate control strategies that utilize an external pressure source, such as CO2 or compressed air, to vary the valve's open position. Durability and performance are ensured by a high-pressure, inverted Nomex diaphragm, specifically designed for the high-pressure differentials found in CO2/compressed air boost control strategies.

The integration of electronic control components into the cap is the icing on the cake, simplifying installation to a single regulated pressure line from the CO2 or compressed air source directly to the wastegate cap. This eliminates up to 8 pressure connections and potential failure points in the critical boost control system.
