Nitrous Express has dedicated countless hours to flow testing, eliminating turbulence points in their systems to minimize nitrous oxide boil-off. NX has designed its own bottle valve, which differs in many respects from standard and even custom valves offered by other companies. The NX “Lightning” valve has a single 45-degree bend to the discharge point. This eliminates the sharp 90-degree bend found in most valves. One company boasting of its “Super High Flow Valve” has designed a 45-degree and a 127-degree bend inside the valve body. This severely restricts flow and causes a turbulence point that sends a diluted flow of nitrous oxide downstream to the solenoid. Finally, the bottle nipple design used by NX allows the nitrous oxide to pass from the valve to the supply hose without internal steps or restrictions. To the common user, these details may seem minor or insignificant, but NX systems make more power per pound of nitrous oxide than any other system on the dyno.

Nitrous Express Lightning 500 bottle valves feature a 0.500” orifice and a straight-through flow that eliminates power-robbing gas bubbles. The result is more power! The Lightning 500 will outflow any competitor valve on the market today and is recommended for all nitrous systems up to 2000 horsepower. The 500 has a 0.625” siphon tube, a 45-degree turn in the nitrous flow, and connections that allow the use of up to a 10AN supply line with no restrictions. The 500 is designed to eliminate any obstructions, sharp edges, or severe bends that would disrupt the laminar flow of the nitrous oxide. This design minimizes boil-off and gaseous nitrous oxide being emitted into the flow to the solenoid, resulting in a nitrous system that makes cleaner power and is easier to tune on any vehicle. The Lightning 500 is CNC machined from solid aluminum and is approximately 225 grams lighter than a comparable brass valve. It features dual gauge ports and interchangeable nipples that allow the use of 4AN, 6AN, 8AN, or 10AN supply lines.

Valves include a 4AN nipple. Other size nipples must be purchased separately.
