It utilises the tried and tested FMDV008 recirculation valve that has been on the market for some time, and has proven to be robust, durable, and extremely reliable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eSince there is no factory diverter valve fitted to the engine, Forge have reused the FMDV008, which improves throttle response during gear changes by reducing turbo lag. Its design aids the turbocharger in maintaining its rotational speed ready for when you accelerate, whilst also reducing the stress on the impeller. Without this reduction in stress, the turbo could suffer premature failure, especially on modified engines and vehicles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLike all Forge valves, it can be customised to suit your application with two uprated springs included in the kit. Due to its ingenious design, changing the spring is a simple task: just slacken the bolts holding the top of the valve and pull the spring out. Easy as that!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDue to the exposed position of the original boost pipe and the heat cycling of the engine, the plastic it is made from can deteriorate over time, becoming brittle and prone to boost leaks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis kit completely replaces this plastic pipe from the turbo to the manifold with a silicone hose (available in various colours).
