Forge Motorsport FMDV28R Recirculation Valve for BMW N13 1.6 Turbo

This Forge recirculating valve is designed for the BMW N13 1.6 Turbo engines with the electronically controlled bypass valve. This engine is found in the F20/F21 and F30 chassis, named 114i, 116i, 118i, 120i, 316i, and 318i. It is recommended for any vehicle with increased boost pressure via an ECU remap, as well as for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the numerous failures that have occurred when the original rubber diaphragm splits, leading to a loss of boost pressure. Unfortunately, this failure does not always trigger the engine warning light, as the boost pressure can still open the valve, so the loss of power may not be noticed.

The Forge Motorsport alternative is an advanced engineering solution offering significantly improved reliability. Our valve is a piston type, with no diaphragm to fail, and is manufactured entirely from aluminum. It replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum actuated piston valve that retains the original ECU control over the valve's actuation. Additionally, the internal spring can be swapped for a stronger or weaker version, depending on the boost pressure.
