This blow-off valve was designed for BMW N20 2.0 Turbo engines equipped with a solenoid valve. This engine can be installed in F10, F20, and F30 chassis called 125i, 225i, 228i, 320i, 328i, 520i, and 528i. It is recommended for all vehicles whose turbo pressure has been increased by ECU remapping, as well as for vehicles operating in hot climates. This is a solution to many of the identified problems, where the standard rubber diaphragm cracks, causing a loss of turbo pressure. Unfortunately, the fault does not always trigger the check engine light when the valve remains open due to turbo pressure, so it is possible not to know that power is being lost due to this. The alternative offered by Forge offers much greater reliability. This Forge blow-off valve works with a solid piston, manufactured entirely from aluminum. It replaces the stock component with a pressure/vacuum controlled piston and maintains the stock ECU control over the blow-off valve.
