Forge Motorsport FMINTMK7-C.N Twintercooler for Volkswagen Golf 7 2.0 Black

Following our proven Twintercooler setup on the Mk5 and Mk6 models, this intercooler has been designed to work in parallel with the stock core. If maximum cooling is preferred, it can be used with our FMMK7FMIC intercooler (which mounts in the stock location and offers much better cooling on its own). The Twintercooler core sits in front of the radiator, intercooler, and stock air conditioning condenser, and therefore, it is in the direct path of the cold air entering the front of the car through the main lower grille. This core has proven effective on road and track cars, and it remains an excellent and valuable addition to a stock or modified VW.

Again, we have data that shows, both on the dyno and on the road, that the Twintercooler core, without other modifications, provides a massive temperature reduction of 20°C (69°F). Comparative tests were carried out on the same day on the same dyno and at an ambient temperature of 6°C (42°F). See for yourself a standard test and a test with the Forge Twintercooler. Power and torque increased slightly, but keep in mind that these engines should only deliver 220 HP, although we have seen them reach between 230 and 250 HP as standard, and there are various limitations imposed by the standard ECU. Once remapped, the full potential of available power can be exploited thanks to much lower intake temperatures.

The Twintercooler provides an additional 6.1 liters of capacity to the intercooler system, along with an additional 1016 square centimeters of frontal surface area to help improve the engine's intake air temperature. The Twintercooler has dimensions of 635mm wide x 160mm high x 60mm deep, and the diameter of the inlet and outlet pipes is 60mm.

No bumper modification is required to install this intercooler*. All necessary parts and complete instructions are included, and the total installation time is less than 2 hours.

The unique Forge silicone hoses included in the Twintercooler kit were designed with SolidWorks and incorporate a high-quality modified silicone inner lining, known as fluorosilicone. This lining allows the hoses to be compatible with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolants, and oil mist. The use of a fluorosilicone lining ensures that Forge silicone hoses are the best, most durable, and preferred choice for demanding motorsport enthusiasts. Their construction has been designed to surpass that of original hoses and will enhance any engine bay, both technically and aesthetically.
