ARP L19 Head Stud Kit for VW 2.0L TFSI/TSI and 1.8L TSI

This kit was designed for drag or street cars, running high boost engines, that require more clamping force and tensile strength than the ARP2000 stud kit offers. If you are looking for the absolute best, you found it, as these studs are 15% stronger than the ARP2000, offering a 55% increase in tensile strength over the factory torque to yield (TTY) bolts. Due to numerous head lift issues on VW engines running over 25 PSI, a stronger custom aged stud had to be fabricated to meet the demands of today's top tuners and racers. These studs are manufactured from a premium vacuum melted alloy steel with sufficient chromium and carbon to achieve high hardness and superior strength. Like most high strength tempered and quenched steels, L19 requires special care during manufacturing to avoid hydrogen embrittlement. This material is easily contaminated and subject to stress corrosion. It must be kept well lubricated and protected from moisture. Recommended for applications running over 30 PSI. No modifications to your VW cylinder head or block are required, as these studs are a direct drop-in replacement for the OEM studs.

Torque Spec: 90 ft/lbs. Yield Strength: 200-230,000 PSI. Tensile Strength: 260,000 PSI.
