Product details
The Audi/VW 1.4L TSI and TFSI connecting rods are H-beam shaped and made from 4340 high-tensile steel. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material, which offers excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and feature a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. Additionally, they incorporate a grooved pin end that minimizes deformation under high inertial loads, thereby reducing weight. They undergo shot peening to relieve material stress and multi-stage heat treatment to increase their rigidity. Strict manufacturing process tolerances ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Bending and twisting are strictly controlled. They are designed for high performance and extreme durability. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 head bolts with a strength of 220,000 psi; optionally, ARP 625 material can be chosen. The complete kit is supplied with ARP molybdenum oil and comprehensive assembly instructions. Additional machining processes
