This RacingLine magnetic sump plug fits a wide range of high-performance VAG models. Applications include the latest 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 4 engine, used in the Golf 8 GTI/R and Audi S3 8Y, plus multiple Audi 2.5, 3.0, 2.9, and 4.0 S/RS applications, and all 3.0 TDI engines.

The RacingLine magnetic sump plug is a simple but effective upgrade that can significantly increase your engine's lifespan. As your engine wears, tiny metallic particles become suspended in the oil, accelerating wear with every use. Installing the RacingLine magnetic sump plug helps separate these ferrous particles.

It's inevitable: engine contact surfaces will wear slightly with every operation. Therefore, tiny ferrous particles will inevitably be suspended in the oil, circulating through the engine via the lubrication system for thousands of kilometers, passing sensitive components like crankshaft bearings or camshaft caps, gradually contributing to engine wear.

The RacingLine magnetic sump plug uses a large magnetic surface to trap these particles, thus cleaning the oil and allowing for more effective lubrication, while minimizing potential future wear. And of course, the harder the engine works, the greater the risk of these metallic residues accumulating, which means the RacingLine magnetic sump plug will be even more beneficial.

The RacingLine magnetic sump plug is made from lightweight T6061 aluminum and anodized in our characteristic gloss black finish. It comes with a pack of 5 sealing washers for the next five oil changes (additional washer packs can be ordered separately).
