Radium Engineering Bosch 044 Vertical External Dual Fuel Surge Tank No Pumps

A fuel surge tank (FST) is designed to prevent fuel starvation to the engine of vehicles with inadequate baffling in the main tank. Fuel pumps in the FST feed the fuel rails. The volume of fuel within the tank acts as a buffer to keep the FST pump always supplied. This volume is maintained by the main tank pump and fuel returning from the pressure regulator. Excess fuel in the surge tank is returned to the vehicle’s main tank.

The surge tank also provides a quick and simple way to upgrade any standard fuel system with a compact footprint. This is an excellent fueling solution for vehicles installing high-horsepower upgrades, such as supercharging.

Both dual pump configurations are ideal for high-horsepower V or H configuration engines with dual fuel rails. The anodized 6061 billet aluminum clamps and FST mount directly to the powder-coated aluminum plate using stainless steel countersunk bolts. Unlike other products on the market, these clamps conductively transfer thermal energy from the fuel pumps to the chassis, thereby increasing pump life. Each pump features a vapor guard hose that draws fuel from the bottom of the fuel tank.
