The fuel pump hanger is designed for high-pressure in-tank fuel pumps with a 39 mm outer diameter, such as Walbro (Ti Automotive) GSS340, GST450, and GST520, Deatschwerks DW200, DW300, and DW420, among others. The BMW E36 fuel pump hanger makes conversion to AN fuel lines for fuel system upgrades easy.

Designed for aftermarket AN fuel lines, it replaces one of the factory fuel pump covers and requires rerouting the return line to the new hanger. The hanger features an oversized AN-10 ORB outlet and an AN-8 ORB return port, which also feeds the included high-flow venturi kit that transfers fuel between both sides of the tank. The factory venturi is replaced to support the higher flow demands of high-performance fuel systems. The original filler hose and fuel tank vent remain unchanged and can be retained. The fuel pump hanger replaces the left original fuel tank cover, maintaining full functionality of the original fuel level system. Both original fuel level sensors remain in use without modifications, including the secondary sensor located on the right side. The electrical connectors for the fuel pump and the fuel level sensor are integrated into the replacement left cover, providing a clean installation and simple wiring for high-performance fuel system upgrades.

Replacing only the upper left cover saves time and money on installation, and is sufficient with all the necessary features for a high-performance fuel system in the classic BMW E36.

The BMW E36 fuel pump hanger includes a high-flow venturi jet pump system that replaces the factory connection components, ensuring reliable fuel transfer between both sides of the saddle-type fuel tank at high flow rates. The return line is redirected to the replacement cover, while the factory connection unit on the opposite tank cover is removed during installation. Two interchangeable flow adapters are included to optimize fuel transfer according to different pump configurations and flow requirements.
