INTRODUCTION
The Radium Engineering brake master cylinder brace mounts to the shock tower and provides needed support and immediate feedback for hard braking. Its powdercoated stainless steel design is very rigid, reducing brake master cylinder deflection by 90%. Being a single-piece design, no secondary unwanted flex will occur. Furthermore, the plate is secured to the chassis with M8 hardware at 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
Physically, the brace is very streamlined and permits installation of aftermarket modifications near the shock tower. The strategically selected adjustment screw prevents damage to the master cylinder housing thanks to its large diameter aluminum head. The included stainless steel jam nuts prevent any set preload from slipping.
HOW IT WORKS
When the brake pedal is depressed, not all mechanical energy is transferred to hydraulic brake line pressure. Unfortunately, some energy is wasted flexing the thin firewall. With the Radium Engineering master cylinder brace, firewall flex is eliminated allowing full brake pedal force to be applied to stop the vehicle. Master cylinder movement was measured before and after installation with a dial indicator.
The results show a 90% reduction in brake master cylinder deflection. This provides a firmer pedal feel and a more responsive braking system.

INSTALLATION
The kit includes longer upper shock studs to compensate for the added thickness of the brace. Also, stainless steel spacers are supplied for the passenger side shock to level out the shock tower brace (if applicable). Installation is very quick and straightforward.
This brace requires no cutting, drilling, or modifications to the vehicle.
