GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The new Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger for the Mitsubishi EVO X has been redesigned to improve fuel pickup and facilitate installation. It completely replaces the factory fuel pump module inside the tank and allows for the use of one or two aftermarket fuel pumps. The original level sensor, fuel temperature sensor, and tank pressure sensor are retained to maintain factory functionality. Please note that the product may differ slightly from what is shown in the photos and videos.

INSTALLATION

For direct connection to OEM fuel lines, adapters (shown installed below) are included in all configurations.

The fuel hanger can also be used with the included 8AN and 6AN adapters (shown below) to install aftermarket -AN type hoses.

Radium Engineering recommends upgrading the feed and return lines when using multiple pumps.

NOTE: There is an OEM pressure sensor (Mitsubishi 8651A025) on the top cap to comply with North American emissions standards. For international vehicles that do not include this part as standard, the EVO X 20-0421 fuel tank pressure plug is required.

AVOID FUEL STARVATION

The kit includes a one-piece anodized aluminum collector box that facilitates installation and keeps fuel trapped around the pump inlet(s). As shown below, it incorporates a 355 L/h one-way fill valve at the bottom of the collector box, which allows fuel to enter, but not to exit. The collector box is constantly replenished with fuel returning from the pressure regulator.

NOTES ON THE VENTURI JET PUMP

1. The original venturi jet pump in the return line creates a restriction with the stock EVO X fuel pump module.

2. Radium Engineering has redesigned the siphon system to eliminate this restriction, maintaining fuel recovery efficiency. This means that higher-flow pumps can be used without fuel pressure issues.

3. Depending on fuel pressure, the venturi jet pump consumes between 15 and 45 L/h. Please account for this fuel loss when sizing fuel pumps.

4. If it is important that fuel pressure remains constant after shutting off the engine, install one of these check valves somewhere in the fuel system.

NOTES ON PUMP CONFIGURATION

For configurations with "Pumps not included":

-This option includes enough components to use 1 or 2 fuel pumps. Depending on the setup, some parts will not be used.

-A flexible fuel filter like this (HERE) must be used for a proper fit.

For configurations with "Pumps included":

-The unit will arrive ready to install, requiring only minimal assembly. If the unit is purchased with 1 pump included, additional parts will be needed to install a second pump.
