In this kit, we utilize both pump hat outputs for increased flow, with an internal 10.5mm supply. Additionally, it includes a larger diameter fuel line to the high-pressure pump, AN8 fittings, a machined Aeroflow fuel filter, and a high-pressure hat with AN8. The best option for easy installation in a racing setup.

The idea originated after extensive testing on our own racing cars. Here you will find the information you need about the MQB low-pressure fuel system and the problems our system solves.
The factory system is designed to support up to 400 horsepower, mainly for daily use. However, due to space limitations and VW AG's decision to locate the fuel filter inside the basket with the pump, there was no space for a pressure regulator. This means that excess fuel does not refill the basket, leading to small pressure drops during acceleration, deceleration, and sharp turns when the fuel level in the tank is low.
Our engineering team, aiming to improve the system, relocated the fuel filter externally to a higher flow filter and positioned the pressure regulator so that excess fuel keeps the basket always full. The basket essentially functions as a secondary fuel reservoir, which must always be full.
Furthermore, by relocating the filter externally, replacement and inspection are facilitated, reducing costs compared to replacing the entire factory pump due to a clogged filter. This allows the system to operate at its full potential at a much lower cost. Our system retains the factory pump and the low-pressure fuel pump control unit, as it offers high reliability for daily use up to 400 horsepower. However, when higher fuel flow is required for engines exceeding 400 horsepower, the RTMG Performance system provides the solution.
How does it work?
We scanned the basket space with a high-precision 0.02mm scanner and designed a support structure for both pumps made of forged aluminum, integrating a second WALBRO/TI pump, with a capacity of 450 liters per hour, or even 525 liters per hour depending on use. Thanks to this redesign, we fix both pumps to the basket with screws, but the most innovative part is that, instead of connecting them with hoses—which causes reliability problems and installation errors—we designed a second forged plate that joins both pumps to a larger outlet. We also positioned the pressure regulator in front of the basket, and for all-wheel drive vehicles, we maintained the second tank transfer system.
The second pump is activated by its own circuit, based on boost pressure, and most importantly, it is integrated into the system we designed. The activation of the second pump occurs between 0.7 and 2 bar, and it is easily adjusted with an Allen screw on the RTMG Performance control unit. All electrical installation is of excellent quality, with safety measures at all points, capable of supplying 40 amps to the second pump under racing conditions.
No original wiring has been cut, and everything is installed in such a way that, should you decide to sell the car, the system can be returned to the factory configuration with the original pump, just as it was before. The installation of our complete system takes no more than an hour, making the mechanics' job easier.
The result? A robust, high-quality construction that functions like a factory system, with everything working perfectly, even the fuel gauge in its original position, supplying your engine with the necessary fuel flow for up to 1000 horsepower and more if required. The complete kit is offered ready to use, but for those who have a factory pump in good condition, we also offer only the upgrade kit.
