Slotted Scalloped Steel Rotor
Steel rotors are used in all types of motorsports. They offer a durable and lightweight option in applications where temperatures remain low to moderate, and intense heat spikes are only seen intermittently. This includes anything from a drag racing car braking hard at the end of a quarter mile, to a high-speed stock car hitting the pits after a qualifying session on a super speedway. Steel rotors are also found on lighter open wheel cars, such as sprint and modifieds, and various lightweight road course race cars. A special alloy and proprietary manufacturing processes give these rotors high resistance to thermal distortion, with excellent friction and wear characteristics against pads.
Suitable Applications: Drag Racing / Dirt Track
