Camshafts modify the engine's performance characteristics, improving the power and torque curve. Among the sports camshafts manufactured by Swiatek, we distinguish the following types:
Depending on the type of profile, additional modifications are required for proper operation.
GT: camshafts designed for daily vehicle use. Engine tuning on a dynamometer (chiptuning) is recommended. Power and torque increase of approximately 10%. GT/R: GT with high-performance camshaft. Requires engine tuning on a dynamometer. Power and torque increase of approximately 10-20%.
R: rally camshafts, with optimized transmission for higher power and torque at high revs. Sports gear ratios, etc., and engine tuning on a dynamometer.
W: competition camshafts, which maximize power and torque. Modifications similar to those for rally camshafts. Power exceeding 100 hp in a 1000 cc engine.
