Modern vehicles, such as those on the MQB platform, feature a fairly rigid laser-welded bodyshell. At the front, the chassis is very stiff between the suspension mounts, but at the rear, there is much more flex, negatively affecting vehicle handling under demanding conditions, especially with stiff suspension. This is why the track-focused European limited edition Golf Clubsport S features a factory rear brace.

The RacingLine Rear Brace solves this problem by connecting these critical stiffness points. The brace uses machined solid aluminum mounts, attached to elegant and ultra-rigid carbon fiber rods, drastically stiffening the rear of the chassis. It is compatible with all Golf 7 and 7.5 models, in both 5-door and estate body styles, as well as the Seat León III and Skoda Octavia III.

By reinforcing and connecting the rear suspension turrets, the strut brace helps maintain correct suspension geometry under heavy cornering loads. It significantly reduces body flex, allowing the suspension to perform as originally designed.

Despite the increased stiffness, this handling improvement is achieved without sacrificing ride comfort or introducing additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin.

Its ingenious design facilitates installation, using existing mounting points in the strongest parts of the bodyshell, with no drilling, cutting, or trim removal required. This means it is fully reversible and easy to remove.

The upper mounts attach to the sturdy rear seat anchors, while the lower ones hook into the cargo tie-down points (RacingLine has included new luggage tie-down points on the new mounts). Since every production bodyshell exhibits minor dimensional variations, the design allows the brace to be tensioned after final adjustment to achieve precise and accurate alignment to your vehicle.

RacingLine's slim, low-profile design minimizes impact on boot space and does not affect the operation of the rear seats. It is compatible with rear seats in an upright or folded-flat position (or even completely removed). The full interior can be maintained even with the rear brace installed.

As a track-focused modification, RacingLine has taken a rigorous approach to weight reduction. The 5-axis CNC machined solid aluminum mounting brackets are joined to high-rigidity 3K carbon fiber link rods.

Aerospace-grade T6-6061 aluminum is used throughout, with a triangulation design developed through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to maximize stiffness and minimize weight.
