Looking to improve the handling response of your Polo AW (and other MQB A0 models)? RacingLine's sleek rear brace, crafted from machined aluminum and carbon fiber, strengthens the body at its weakest point for a more precise and engaging drive. Its clever design requires no drilling or cutting, and the rear seats function normally, both upright and folded.
Modern vehicles, such as those on the MQB A0 platform, feature a fairly rigid laser-welded body. At the front, the chassis is very stiff between the suspension mounts, but at the rear there is much more flex, which negatively affects vehicle handling under demanding conditions, especially with a stiff suspension. That's why the European limited edition Golf Clubsport S, focused on the track, incorporates a factory rear brace.
RacingLine's rear brace solves this problem by uniting these critical stiffness points. The brace uses machined solid aluminum mounts, attached to a sleek, ultra-rigid 35mm 3K carbon fiber link bar, which dramatically stiffens the rear of the chassis. It is compatible with all MQB A0 models, such as the Polo AW.
By reinforcing and uniting the rear suspension turrets, the brace helps maintain proper suspension geometry under heavy cornering loads. It significantly reduces body flex, allowing the suspension to work as intended.
Despite the increased stiffness, this handling improvement is achieved without sacrificing ride comfort or introducing additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin.
Its ingenious design facilitates installation, using the existing rear seat mounting points, without the need for drilling, cutting, or removing trim. This means it is completely reversible and leaves no trace when removed.
RacingLine's slim, low-profile design minimizes impact on trunk space and does not affect the operation of the rear seats. It is compatible with the rear seats in an upright or folded position (or even completely removed).
As a track-oriented modification, RacingLine has taken a rigorous approach to weight reduction. The mounting brackets, made from 5-axis CNC machined aerospace-grade T6-6061 solid aluminum, are attached to the ultra-high-rigidity 3K carbon fiber link bar.
