A common problem in direct injection engines is carbon buildup on the intake valves. Due to the direct injection system, where fuel is sprayed directly into the combustion chamber, the intake valves are not cleaned by the fuel, leading to carbon deposits accumulating, a byproduct of oil vapors from the original PCV system.
The RTMG Oil Catch Can Kit can reduce carbon buildup on intake valves by up to 60%. Additionally, it prevents oil from accumulating in the intercooler and its hoses.
Our smart three-stage filtering system takes care of the lighter vapors, while also featuring a unique direct conduit to the bottom of the catch can for the denser oil vapors, allowing up to 99% of recovered vapors to be cleaned.
