Pyrotect's high-quality PyroCell Elite Fuel Cells are the best on the market. Manufactured from ultra-durable double-layered urethane fabric, with internal foam baffling and the integrated Nuke Performance CFC unit, they eliminate the need for an external surge tank, which is essential for fuel injection systems. The tank is safe for all types of fuels, including ethanol and methanol.

The Pyrotect Elite fuel tank with the Nuke Performance CFC unit includes the unique Nuke Performance Competition Fuel Cell unit as a replacement for the filler plate. The CFC unit is the perfect solution for a streamlined and high-performance fuel system where safety is paramount. Thanks to the integrated surge tank, this setup eliminates the need for an external tank that takes up a lot of space. With all necessary fuel pumps mounted inside the fabric fuel bladder itself, this is all you need. This frees up space and weight, and increases safety as fewer fuel line connections are required and no external fuel pumps are used. Internal high-pressure fuel pumps, for any need between 200 and 2000 hp.

Pyrotect Elite fuel tanks include the unique Nuke Performance CFC unit with integrated surge tank and fuel pump hanger. They are compatible with single or dual high-pressure fuel pumps from Deatschwerks, AEM, Ti Automotive, Walbro, Bosch, Fuelab, Aeromotive, and many more. They fit all common 39mm fuel pumps, as well as larger ones like Deatschwerks DW400, Walbro GST400/450/520, Bosch BR540, and Aeromotive Stealth 450. One fuel pump is mounted inside the tank, on a height-adjustable aluminum bracket, and one or two pumps are mounted on a machined aluminum bracket inside the surge tank. This solution is prepared to provide a constant fuel flow for power outputs between 200 and 2000 horsepower, without fuel starvation, even under demanding driving conditions, thanks to the internal surge tank and the Pyrotect foam baffling system.

The Pyrotect Elite fuel tank with the Nuke Performance CFC unit is compatible with most common fuel pumps. Together with Nuke Performance fuel pump mounting kits, setting up a high-performance fuel system has never been easier.

How are the fuel pumps mounted in the Pyrotect Pyrocell Elite?

The single fuel pump mounted in the bladder works as a pickup pump that ensures the high-pressure fuel pumps inside the oversized 2-liter (0.53 gallon) surge tank always have enough fuel to maximize flow and minimize the risk of fuel starvation, which can severely damage the engine. For more information, please refer to the product manual. The CFC unit comes with everything needed to install the fuel pumps of your choice, but we recommend adding one of our fuel pump mounting kits for optimal operation. All fuel pumps are securely mounted in all conditions thanks to the machined brackets.

The Nuke Performance CFC unit includes two connection options: an AN-10 (7/8 UNF) to AN-8 male fitting and an AN-10 male fitting, plus an AN-8 (3/4 UNF) to AN-8 male return fitting. The use of the oversized and high-flow AN-10 outlet integrates the internal fuel pumps into a single fuel line, minimizing the need for external equipment, hoses, and fittings. The vent fittings with roll-over protection are AN-6 and can be replaced with AN-6 to AN-10 when necessary. Additional AN-6 to AN-12 fittings are sold separately as accessories.

Complete foam baffling and durable double-coated fabric bladder. Pyrotect Elite fuel cells, manufactured in the USA, include factory-modified internal foam baffling, adapted to the specific needs of mounting the Nuke Performance CFC unit. The tough urethane bladder, encased in a lightweight aluminum shell, is much safer than simpler solutions such as budget cells and welded aluminum cells. The Pyrotect Elite series is among the safest fuel cells on the market today and has been developed from a long history in professional motorsport. Equipped with an ultra-durable double-layered urethane fabric bladder and an aluminum container, it is available in various sizes, from 8 to 26 gallons (30 to 98 liters). With the Nuke Performance CFC unit, the only thing needed between the fuel cell and the engine is a fuel filter, just like in a standard fuel system. The internal bladder is completely safe for all types of fuels, but if used with alcoholic fuel, it should not be left stored for a long time without first flushing it with non-alcoholic fuel.

Pyrotect fuel tanks, designed specifically for the CFC unit, carry the branding of both brands. No modifications are required before installation. When ordering, the Pyrotect fuel tank is manufactured to specifications for a perfect fit with the CFC unit. The internal foam baffle is cut to the exact size for the fuel pump and leaves enough space for the internal surge tank. No modifications to the fuel tank are necessary, and it comes with all necessary documentation for FIA homologation. FIA Certification: FIA certified fuel cells have a 5-year lifespan and can be recertified for an additional 2 years, up to a maximum of 7 years from the date of manufacture. Fuel cells must be sent to Pyrotect for recertification. To comply with FIA regulations, the fuel cell bladder must be installed inside the included aluminum container.
