High-quality Pyrotect PyroCell Elite fuel cells are the best on the market. Manufactured from ultra-durable dual-layer urethane fabric, with internal foam baffles and the integrated Nuke Performance CFC unit, they eliminate the need for an external surge tank, which is essential for fuel injection systems. The tank is safe for all fuel types, including ethanol and methanol.

The Pyrotect Elite fuel cell with the Nuke Performance CFC unit includes the unique Nuke Performance Competition Fuel Cell unit as a replacement for the filler plate. The CFC unit is the perfect solution for a simplified, high-performance fuel system where safety is paramount. Thanks to the integrated surge tank, this setup eliminates the need for a space-consuming external tank. With all necessary fuel pumps mounted inside the fabric fuel bladder itself, this is all you need. This frees up space and weight, and increases safety since fewer fuel line connections are required and no external fuel pumps are used. Internal high-pressure fuel pumps, for any requirement between 200 and 2000 hp.
Pyrotect Elite fuel cells include the unique Nuke Performance CFC unit with integrated surge tank and fuel pump bracket. They are compatible with single or dual high-pressure fuel pumps from Deatschwerks, AEM, Ti Automotive, Walbro, Bosch, Fuelab, Aeromotive, and many more. They fit all common 39mm fuel pumps, as well as larger ones like the Deatschwerks DW400, Walbro GST400/450/520, Bosch BR540, and Aeromotive Stealth 450. One fuel pump is mounted inside the tank on a height-adjustable aluminum bracket, and one or two pumps are mounted on a machined aluminum bracket inside the surge tank. This solution is ready to provide constant fuel flow for power levels between 200 and 2000 horsepower, with no fuel starvation, even in demanding driving conditions, thanks to the internal surge tank and the Pyrotect foam baffling system.
The Pyrotect Elite fuel cell with the Nuke Performance CFC unit is compatible with most common fuel pumps. Together with Nuke Performance fuel pump mounting kits, configuring a high-performance fuel system has never been easier.
How are the fuel pumps mounted in the Pyrotect PyroCell Elite?
The single fuel pump mounted in the bladder acts as a lift pump, ensuring that the high-pressure fuel pumps inside the oversized 2-liter (0.53 gallon) surge tank always have enough fuel to maximize flow and minimize the risk of fuel starvation, which can severely damage the engine. For more information, please consult the product manual. The CFC unit is delivered with everything needed to install the fuel pumps of your choice, but we recommend adding one of our fuel pump mounting kits for optimal operation. All fuel pumps are mounted securely in any condition thanks to the machined brackets.

The Nuke Performance CFC unit includes two connection options: an AN-10 (7/8 UNF) to AN-8 male fitting and an AN-10 male fitting, plus an AN-8 (3/4 UNF) to AN-8 male return fitting. Using the large, high-flow AN-10 outlet integrates the internal fuel pumps into a single fuel line, minimizing the need for external equipment, hoses, and fittings. The rollover-protected vent fittings are AN-6 and can be replaced with AN-6 to AN-10 when needed. Additional AN-6 to AN-12 fittings are sold separately as accessories.

Full foam baffles and durable dual-coated fabric bladder. Pyrotect Elite fuel cells, made in the USA, include factory-modified internal foam baffles, tailored to the specific mounting needs of the Nuke Performance CFC unit. The durable urethane bladder, encased in a lightweight aluminum container, is much safer than simpler solutions like saving cells and welded aluminum cells. The Pyrotect Elite series is among the safest fuel cells on the market today and has been developed from a long history in professional motorsport. Equipped with an ultra-durable dual-layer urethane fabric bladder and an aluminum container, it is available in various sizes, from 8 to 26 gallons (30 to 98 liters). With the Nuke Performance CFC unit, the only thing needed between the fuel cell and the engine is a fuel filter, just like in a standard fuel system. The internal bladder is completely safe for all types of fuels, but if used with alcohol fuel, it should not be left stored for long periods without first rinsing it with non-alcohol fuel.

Made to order, approximate lead time: 3 weeks. All Pyrotect fuel cells are made to order, ensuring current FIA approval and preventing you from purchasing an old or stocked tank. Lead time is approximately 3 weeks after placing the order.
Nuke Performance and Pyrotect fuel cells are the result of an official, international collaboration between both manufacturers. Pyrotect fuel cells, designed specifically for the CFC unit, carry both brand names. If ordering a fuel cell directly from Pyrotect, be sure to indicate that it is designed for use with the Nuke Performance CFC unit.
