Turbo Shields solve the problem of extreme under-hood heat, prevent heat damage to painted or carbon fiber hoods, and help turbos spool up faster.
DEI recognized the need for new applications for Turbo Shields and is now offering them in smaller sizes. Unlike cheap imitations, DEI Turbo Shields use a proprietary combination of premium heat-resistant textiles and newly designed stainless steel fastening anchors. DEI Turbo Shields are used to maintain a more consistent temperature in the turbo, increasing efficiency and reducing turbo lag. In addition to Garrett® brand turbo housings, ONYX™ Series Turbo Shields are compatible with other popular turbo brands, including Mitsubishi® and others.
Heavy-duty riveted anchors to secure the shield. Black carbon fiber look. Best thermal barrier reduces turbo lag. Double-reinforced stitching inside and out. Available as a shield only or in a kit.
