MMX Crank Hub Fix Plate for BMW N55 & S55
Problems related to the S55 & N55 engines' standard three-piece crank hub are widely known, including the need to ensure the stock crank bolt does not loosen. That's where the MMX Crank Hub Fix Plate comes in.
Prevent N55 or S55 engine crank bolt failure.
Machined from T-6061 billet aluminum and anodized with our signature finish, the MMX Performance fix plate fully surrounds and secures the factory crank bolt head, making it physically impossible for it to spin or loosen.
Fixed to both the MMX Monoblock Crank Hub and the OEM crank hub, the elongated slots guarantee a perfect and secure installation every time.
Installation of the fix plate is also possible with the engine in place, only requiring removal of the radiator for proper access.

Fitment Information:
BMW S55 & N55 bolt torque: 100 Nm initial torque plus 270 degrees.
Additional Information:
This MMX retainer plate is an excellent starting point for preventing the dreaded hub slip issues on standard vehicles and those not used on track.
However, for complete peace of mind, especially on highly modified or heavily used vehicles, we strongly recommend selecting the monoblock crank hub with the retainer plate as the only way to 100% guarantee the security of preventing future costly breakdowns.
