Product details
Citroën and Peugeot 1.6L TU5J4/TU5JP4 pistons are developed for moderate to high-level preparation, mainly for street or competition vehicles seeking to optimize their engine for high mileage and/or road use. Designed by ZRP engineers and manufactured in Germany from high-silicon, low-expansion 4032 (T6) alloy. This allows the engine builder to work with tighter piston clearance, which results in better sealing. This minimizes knocking noise during cold starts, common in engines with forged pistons, providing quiet operation and low oil consumption. We have chosen a full round skirt design with a lower reinforcement band, with oversized and deeper valve pockets to allow the use of high-lift camshaft profiles. They have offset pins for quiet operation and the piston pins are made of 9310 alloy. Other features include anti-detonation grooves to protect the top rings, gas pressure accumulator groove for improved ring sealing, and vibration relief. Includes a set of high-quality Japanese piston rings measuring 1.00 mm x 1.20 mm x 2.80 mm.
*Note: This piston kit is compatible with the 89.00 mm C-CIT-001L long stroke crankshaft.
