Dynapro Lug Mount Brake Caliper

The DynaPro Lug Mount (DP) forged aluminum caliper represents the latest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously utilizing the Dynalite model series. DP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood-exclusive performance enhancements.

A sleek profile with superior strength and precision machined finish provide the ideal performance and appearance for competition or show. The strength of the DynaPro is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro is forged using the stress-flow process from a premium grade block. This process realigns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This produces a part with superior strength to parts simply machined from straight-grain block billet. The body design, generated through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), incorporates a highly reinforced radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. Incorporating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and body separation of the caliper under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement tests have proven the efficiency of this innovative design. Reductions in overall deflection and ensuing decreases in fluid volume displacement translate into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, it’s a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro incorporates other refinements for improved performance and greater versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that hold the 7812-type brake pads from the top. Not only does this allow quick pad changes without caliper removal, but the lower pad supports have been eliminated to create a thinner profile that fits more easily into tight clearance applications.
