DynaPro Lug Mount Caliper

The DynaPro Lug Mount (DP) caliper, forged from aluminum, represents the latest in caliper technology available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously utilizing the Dynalite series. DP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood-exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a precision machined finish provide the ideal performance and aesthetic for racing or show.

The strength of the DynaPro is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro is forged using the stress-flow process from a premium grade aluminum slug. This process re-aligns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This produces a part with superior strength over parts simply machined from straight-grain aluminum block.

The body design generated through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) incorporates a highly fortified radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. The incorporation of a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing have proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translates into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro incorporates other refinements for enhanced performance and application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 7812-type brake pad from the top.
