DynaPro Lug Mount Brake Caliper
The DynaPro Lug Mount (DP) brake caliper, forged from aluminum, represents the latest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously utilizing the Dynalite series. DP calipers combine pure racing technology with several performance enhancements unique to Wilwood. A sleek profile with superior strength and precision machined finish provide the ideal performance and aesthetic for racing or show.
The DynaPro’s strength is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro is forged using stress-flow process from a premium grade aluminum block. This process realigns the metal’s granular structure to within the contour of the body design. This produces a part with superior strength over parts that are simply machined from straight-grain aluminum blocks.
The body design generated using finite element analysis (FEA) incorporates a highly fortified radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and bridges. Incorporating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and body separation of the caliper under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing has proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translates into higher clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm, responsive pedal with outstanding stopping power. The DynaPro incorporates other enhancements for improved performance and application versatility. Calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 7812 type brake pad from the top.
