DynaPro Lug Mount Caliper
The DynaPro Lug Mount (DP) caliper, made from forged aluminum, represents the latest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously utilizing the Dynalite series. DP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood-exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a precision machined finish provide the ideal performance and aesthetic for racing or show.
The DynaPro’s strength is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro is stress-flow forged from a premium grade aluminum slug. This process realigns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This produces a piece with superior strength to that of parts simply machined from straight grain aluminum block. The body design generated through FEA analysis incorporates a heavily reinforced radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. The incorporation of a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing has proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translates into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm and responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power.
The DynaPro incorporates other refinements for improved performance and application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 7812 type brake pad from the top. Not only does it allow for quick pad changes without caliper disassembly, but lower pad supports have been eliminated to create a slimmer profile that more readily fits into tighter spaces. id="MainContent_lblPistType" class="Gray11B">Stainless SteelRotor Dimensions
