Dynalite-ST Forged Internal Caliper
The Wilwood Dynalite/ST forged internal caliper system has been specifically engineered for compact road race vehicles operating at high temperatures. Combined with Thermlock® insulated pistons, it offers a compact, high-temperature solution for rotors between 12.19" and 11.00". Forged Dynalite calipers are the strongest in their class, designed with a single split bridge and no spacers for improved strength and appearance.
The forged internal Dynalite caliper system is the strongest in its class, with weights starting at 3.00 pounds. The stress flow forging process realigns the metal's grain structure within the caliper body's contour.
This process eliminates breaks and interruptions in the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block. The radial transition design generated using finite element analysis (FEA) eliminates steps and shoulders in the area between the piston housing body and the caliper bridges. The incorporation of a radius in this transition area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper separation under load. Structural deflection and volumetric displacement tests have shown that the forged Dynalite caliper outperforms all existing styles of this popular size. class="Gray11B">ThermlockRotor Dimensions
