The DynaPro Forged Low-Profile Dust Boot lug mount caliper (FDPLP-DS) represents the newest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously using the Dynalite series. FDPLP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a forged machined finish provide the performance and aesthetics for competition or show. Specifically designed for tight clearance in the outer rotor hat and narrow sweep area rotors. Dust Boot equipped calipers also include Wilwood’s proprietary dust boot technology.

The strength of the DynaPro Forged Low-Profile caliper is a combination of process and design.

The DynaPro caliper series is stress-flow forged from a premium grade block. Stress-flow forging re-aligns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This process produces a piece with superior strength to those simply machined from straight grain block. The body design, generated with finite element analysis (FEA), incorporates a highly ribbed radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. Integrating a radius into this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing have proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the corresponding decrease in fluid volume displacement translate to increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro Low-Profile incorporates other enhancements for improved performance and application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers which support a new top load Type 4812 brake pad.
