The DynaPro Forged Low-Profile lug-mount dust boot caliper (FDPLP-DS) is the latest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously utilizing the Dynalite series. FDPLP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a precision machined forged finish provide the performance and aesthetic for racing or show. Uniquely designed for tight clearance on the outside rotor hat and narrow-swept area rotors. Dust boot calipers also include Wilwood’s proprietary dust boot technology.

The strength of the DynaPro Low-Profile forged caliper is a combination of process and design.

The DynaPro series of calipers are designed through stress-flow forging from a high-grade blank. Stress-flow forging realigns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This process produces a piece with superior strength over parts that are simply machined from straight-grain blocks. The body design, generated through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), incorporates a highly ribbed radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. The inclusion of a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing has proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translate into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm and responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro Low-Profile incorporates other refinements for improved performance and greater application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a new 4812-type brake pad from the top.
