Dynapro Narrow
The DynaPro Narrow Lug Mount (DPN) forged aluminum caliper represents the newest generation of calipers available with a narrower outside clearance. DPN calipers combine pure race technology with several Wilwood exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a high-precision machined finish ensures performance. Available in Wilwood’s Type III anodize or black or red powder coat finish.
DynaPro Narrow strength is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro Narrow is stress-flow forged from premium grade aluminum. This process re-aligns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This produces a much stronger component than simply machining parts from straight grain solid billet block. The body design generated through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) incorporates a highly fortified radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. Integrating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing have proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the ensuing decrease in fluid volume displacement result in greater clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, you get a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power.
The DynaPro Narrow incorporates other enhancements for improved performance and greater application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 7812 type brake pad from the top. Not only does this allow for quick pad changes without caliper removal, but the lower pad supports have been eliminated to create a thinner profile that fits into tighter clearance applications easier. id="MainContent_lblPistType" class="Gray11B">Stainless SteelRotor Dimensions
