Dynapro Narrow

The DynaPro Narrow Lug Mount (DPN) caliper, manufactured from forged aluminum, represents the latest version of calipers available with a narrower outside clearance. DPN calipers combine pure competition technology with several performance enhancements exclusive to Wilwood. A sleek profile with superior strength and a high-precision machined finish ensure performance. Available in Wilwood's Type III anodizing or black or red powder coat finish.

The strength of the DynaPro Narrow is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro Narrow is stress-flow forged from a premium aluminum alloy. This process realigns the grain structure of the metal within the contour of the body design.

This process yields a part with superior strength to parts merely machined from straight-grain solid block. The body design generated using finite element analysis (FEA) incorporates a highly fortified radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and bridges. Incorporating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and body separation of the caliper under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing have proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translates into increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, you get a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro Narrow incorporates other enhancements for improved performance and greater application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 7812 type brake pad from the top.
