DynaPro Lug Mount Brake Caliper
The DynaPro Lug Mount (DP) forged aluminum caliper is the newest generation of calipers available as an upgrade or replacement for applications previously utilizing the Dynalite series. DP calipers combine pure racing technology with several Wilwood-exclusive performance enhancements. A sleek profile with superior strength and a high-precision machined finish provide the ideal performance and aesthetic appeal for competition or show.
DynaPro strength is a combination of process and design. The DynaPro is stress-flow forged from a premium aluminum billet. This process realigns the metal’s granular structure within the contour of the body design. This produces a piece with superior strength to parts simply machined from straight-grain aluminum block.
FEA generated body design incorporates a highly fortified radial transition that eliminates steps and shoulders between the piston housings and the bridges. Integrating a radius in this critical area substantially increases resistance to deflection and caliper body separation under load. Structural deflection and volume displacement testing has proven the effectiveness of this innovative design. Reduced overall deflection and the resulting decrease in fluid volume displacement translates to increased clamping efficiency with less pedal travel. In short, a firm, responsive pedal with exceptional stopping power. The DynaPro incorporates other enhancements for improved performance and application versatility. The calipers feature Quick-E-Clip pad retainers that support a 7812 type brake pad from the top. Not only does this allow quick pad change without caliper disassembly, but lower pad supports have been eliminated to create a thinner profile that more readily fits into tight clearance applications.Pistons
