DPC56 Brake Caliper
DPC56 rear brake calipers are engineered as a high-performance street and custom replacement for Corvettes and hot rods utilizing Corvette suspension. DPC56 calipers add high-tech style and provide the precise response and balanced pad loading delivered by a four-piston, fixed-mount caliper.
The DPC56 is a direct bolt-on replacement for the OE calipers on all 1997-2004 C5 and all 2005-2013 C6 base model Corvettes utilizing 12.00” diameter rear rotors. The calipers attach directly to the Corvette spindle without brackets or adapters and are compatible with all OE banjo bolt style brake hoses. Using modern computer aided design and modeling technology, the DPC56 is based on the DynaPro series of high performance, low-profile brake calipers. These calipers feature an ultra-stiff forged aluminum body, stainless steel pistons, internal piston dampening springs, internal bore seals, stainless steel bridge wear plates, and a single bleed screw system. All DPC56 calipers are compatible with the same 4812 type 12mm thick brake pads used in all DynaPro series low-profile brake calipers.DPC56 piston volume matches the piston volume of the OE calipers. This makes it fully compatible with the OE master cylinder output and ABS system. Front to rear brake bias, as well as pedal travel, remain as stock. For custom hot rod builds, this caliper volume also easily matches other styles of manual or power assisted pedals with the appropriately sized master cylinder.
