Superlite 4 Forged Radial Mount Caliper
The Superlite 4R series calipers are the benchmark in short track asphalt, late model, modified and open wheel competition. It is also highly favored in various road race, rally, and sport driving applications. The new FSL4R series models are the latest innovation to this Superlite caliper family. It has been redesigned with internal fluid ports that eliminate external fluid transfer tubes. The transfer tube has been replaced with two additional bleeder screw assemblies that allow symmetrical bore piston models to be mounted right or left, in either leading or trailing position.
Differential bore models still require left and right orientation, but no leading or trailing setup is necessary. The most distinctive feature of all FSL4R caliper models is the exceptional strength and light weight of the forging. Weighing only 4.4 pounds fully assembled, the caliper body design itself is a product of computer generated solid modeling and stress analysis technology. Each caliper features closed end bridges with a radial transition to the main body and piston bore housings. The elimination of machined steps and sharp shoulders in this critical area provides a substantial increase in overall body strength and resistance to deflection under load. Every FSL4R body is stress-flow forged from a premium aluminum alloy billet.Rotor Dimensions
