D52-R Floating Single Piston
Wilwood’s new D52-R heavy duty racing caliper features a lightweight 4.3 lb hard anodized Type III forged aluminum body and a stainless steel piston. Choose from 2.75” or 2.38” wide pistons, and 0.81”, 1.04” and 1.28” thick brake discs, with common diameters of 11.75”, 12.19”, and up to 12.50”. The caliper’s fluid inlet port, centered directly behind the piston, eliminates any interference with the slide pins. With a lower deflection rate and higher volumetric efficiency than heavier competing cast models, D52-R calipers also use standard D52 pads available in a variety of compounds for every application. Brake caliper mounting utilizes the original GM height and offset. The D52-R brake caliper, also known as the D52R caliper, is the pinnacle design for OEM replacement racing brake calipers.
