Superlite 4 Rdl Narrow Forged Caliper MT-Quick-Silver/ST
Quick-Silver/ST Series FNSLR/ST nickel plated forged four piston Thermlock calipers provide championship proven performance with piston sizes that provide balanced rear braking distribution for use with W6AR/ST front calipers, or other larger piston front calipers. FNSL4R/ST calipers incorporate racing technology in a radial mount body design with wide adaptability. They include competition upgrade options for all FNSL4R rear big brake kits. Thermlock pistons, high temperature seals, SRS bridge plates and two-piece bleed screw assemblies are standard on all calipers. Four proprietary Type 7416 racing high temperature brake pad compounds allow fine tuning of brake response, friction requirements, and temperature range. The key to the superior performance of the FNSL4R is its extremely durable and efficient body design. At a starting weight of 4.9 pounds, it is the result of solid modeling generated by computer and FEA stress analysis technology. The most outstanding feature of this new caliper design is forging. Each body is forged by the stress flow process from premium grade aluminum alloy blocks. This process realigns the internal grain structure of the metal to flow within the contour of the caliper body. This process eliminates stresses and interruptions in the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block. In short, there is no better way to build a stronger aluminum caliper body. Available in various piston diameters, it provides braking as a front or rear caliper. Standard FNSL4R brake calipers feature monoblock stainless steel pistons. Stainless steel is used for its low heat transfer and high corrosion resistance. Calipers can be upgraded with Wilwood's exclusive Thermlock pistons. This multi-component piston design creates a highly efficient thermal barrier that further reduces heat transfer from the pads to the caliper body, seals, and brake fluid. Lower temperatures translate into longer life and a reduced likelihood of pedal fading due to heat. class="Gray11B">Thermlock
